We are still trying to avoid putting our heating on in the house here in Kilmarnock, although it's proving to be a challenge!
The nights are drawing in which means that we are starting to get ready for our busy winter season. We love this time of year as we get a chance to see the new interiors collections and choose the stock that we think will be popular, is it too early to say that we also look for Christmas gift themes?
Our first new order arrived yesterday and we'll be updating the website to add the stock. Old favourites such as the "Naughty" and "I Can't Reach Stools" are back and we have some stunning new vases and lighting.
Speaking of lighting, Jim has been bust in the shop converting stunning bottles into lamps. You might have seen these on our Facebook and Instagram pages shown with our handmade Harris Tweed Shades.
Ever the perfectionist, Jim is drilling and fitting all of the wiring himself, using complementary fittings in brass or white depending on the bottle. We love the gin bottle collection which is really proving popular,
Next weekend is the Scottish Home Show in Aberdeen. This will be our second year there and we are hoping it's even more fun that last year! We love this show, not least of all because it's in Mrs Craig's hometown and we get to catch up with family.
Hope you are all well and remember to pop into the shop at 65 Titchfield Street, Kilmarnock to see the latest Home Interiors and Lighting ideas from local artisan makers.
